Today I began my fertility meds to stimulate follicle growth. I will not be taking Clomid this time, but a newer medication, Femara. It works in basically the same way as Clomid, supposedly with less side effects. It is mainly used in woman receiving treatment for breast cancer but has recently has begun to be used for ovulation induction in the treatment of infertility. I tolerated it well but I still had a few of the same side effects as I did with the Clomid. I just feel kind of achy, have a dull headache, and lot of hot flashes. But I just keep reminding myself…it's all part of the process.
